Injury of the spring award

I thought Hunter Pence would be a shoe-in for the injury of the spring award. I spoke too soon. Felix Pie moves ahead with surgery for a twisted testicle. From ESPN.COM,

"Cubs center fielder Felix Pie will miss the next three to five days while he recovers from an outpatient surgery to fix a twisted testicle." Ouch! In the name of man-laws, nothing more needs to be mentioned.

Let me get this straight......Felix beat Hunter? What are ya...CRAZY? First of all Felix really did nothing to obtain this "injury" exept to have Large nether regions and is out for 5 days. Hunter had too walk (or run as it's a pretty hard feat) THROUGH a Glass door while hot tubbing and was out for over a week.

Now you tell me what is worse? A testicle twist that may have been caused from working out too hard or numerous lacerations that was caused by walking through a door? At least we know that Hunter can handle a wall/door as he is playing the outfield. Man that would hurt at Wrigley.

Does the distiguished Astros fan want to make wagers on injuries? I have Aramis and that is worth a few points in itself. Though as Head in the Ivy mentioned on another post.........Berkman is a Bon Bon away from another injury.

BTW......I like the Astros (Cubs a lot more).

See below:

The surgery involves sewing the outer layer of the testicle to the scrotum wall. The Cubs said it was a minor procedure, and if the problem was not corrected soon, Pie would risk losing the testicle. It's not known how Pie incurred the injury, but it's not uncommon. Some men are more susceptible to it than others, but it usually happens in late adolescence

So hold old is Pie? Why grow up I say.

I stopped reading at scrotum, but will assume it's a painful procedure.
I have sat on my nutz before and it hurt for a good 2 days. Part of the dangers of being well hung.
