Angel in the outfield?

What will happen? If Edmonds passes the physical, he's in. He's cheap (probably league min.) and he can make catches over his head. I say keep RJ and send Pie back to the Minors. He simply needs more at bats.

Will the 38 year old help? Yes. He will give great defense, a solid 7 hitter (my guess) and he has experience that can be passed along to the youngsters. What is the risk? Pie? Ah....he'll be prime for a sub player, September call up, and next year. Simple fact is that Jimmy is better than Pie and not necessary in the all categories but in the right ones.

Plus I am 37 and pull for anyone my age who I feel can play as I think of me...only not as talented, not as much money, and not near the pulling power (don't mean at bat either)!

I can't help it...I just hate that guy. He'd better freakin' contribute.

...maybe we'll get lucky and he'll Bump Bailey into the ivy.

I'm with Don on this one. I can't stand Edmunds because he represented everything I hate about the Cards. Edmunds missing at least 2 months of the season along with Rolen was usually one of the high points of the Summer and usually gave the Cubs a good chance to catch or build a lead.
I disliked Rolen because he was a great 3rd baseman that didn't play for my team. I hated Edmunds because he is an asshole that occasionally makes a good catch. Although I can remember lots of strike outs in clutch situations, now I don't get to cheer after them anymore. Big Z will hopefully drill him in the ass again in batting practice or something.

Now guys....I hate the Cards too. And I have Rolen on my fantasy team, but I still think he can contibute. He went 1-4 (i Think)today and left a few on (I think 5). First day back. The man has experience and like I used to say About Dennis Rodman.....that man does really piss me off. But it's amazing how a uniform changes your opinion about a guy.

But I Do Understand.....like last year with Steve Trashhhhel. I really hate that guy....not really sure why either.

But he is better than Pie.....and Pie on the bench really does nothing for him or his career with the Cubs.

But I could be wrong.

...he left seven - SEVEN - on base.

Couldn't even manage a damn fly ball with the bags juiced!

...oof...that sounded filthy. I bet Troy could translate that from porn-lingo for us.
