Huh?

Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals each post franchise record number of wins in April (18 and 19, respectively).

Discuss.

I think it reads worse for the Cubs. The Cubs are expected to be this good and the Cardinals were picked to tank (which I hope and pray for daily). I will no longer subscribe to the lovable loser mentality. Although, I will continue to be self-depreciating, which allows me to be pathetic anyway.

I don't believe the Cards can hang on. Just don't. Of course I said that the year they won it all as well....so.....

Cubs started well and are now seemingly falling apart. No fear loyal fans as I always want them to be at .500 by the break.

The Cubs have pleanty and will need to have more consistant bats (and I think they will) as the season progresses. When they face Arizona this weekend, that will be a challenge. 2 of 3 and we should feel confident. 1 of 3 and I still would feel that way if the losses were close. 0 of 3....maybe we need to get Zimmerman a new girlfriend.

I hate when they loose.....but I am confident in Lou. Last year he took the spot light off the Cubs team and on himself and then they went on a tear. He knew what he was doing. They lost to the D'Backs but at least they had the chance to play them.

Have faith. Could be worse......look at other teams. Sure no drought, but no spunk either. Cubs are just plain Fun. I mean how many times do you hear of a Drunk Sweaty Fat Man from Eastern getting cut off in the middle of the second inning in the bleachers at a Buc game......when the game started at 1:20? Old Style is a Lager and the man had Mich at Murphys starting at 10 after a night in the Bars at school so we should give him a break. But seriously to Buc fans have those stories and pictures?
